Bearer of the Virus: Darkness Falls

My body began to glow white while my eyes retained their blood red aura as I felt Sereena's power flow into me.

"It's time for me to avenge those you forced me to hurt and kill!" I said defiantly.

Alice laughed as she glared at me. "Come then…..let us dance one final time….."

In one quick movement, I was flying through the air, towards Alice; I drew back my gauntlet and swung forwards.

KLANG!

Alice digitised a Katana into her hands and blocked my attack effortlessly.

"Come now……you can do better than that……" she smiled.

I smiled back as I replied "I'm not done yet"

Before Alice knew what happened, my SMG was pushed into her stomach and I fired. She reeled back in shock and pain as my clip was emptied.

"That……was cheap……however, you're not the only one who can do that….." she smirked.

I felt a sharp spike hit me in the back, one of Alice's tentacles had struck me in the back, forcing me to my knees in pain.

"Karin….." Sereena said in a soft voice. "Ignore the pain….allow my power to heal your body…..keep fighting".

Almost instantly, the injury that Alice had inflicted on me had disappeared.

Alice glared at me as she saw her attack did almost nothing to me "You cannot keep that up forever, I will make you wish for death when I'm done with you!" she growled.

I simple flexed my arms and smiled at her. "Try me then……."

Me and Alice ended up in a deadlock and then suddenly, we shot up into the air, creating a huge sonic boom as we did.

My friends looked up in awe as we shot up into the sky.

Suddenly, Bebe let out a horrible laugh and my friends spun around as Bebe came rushing at them.

Jamezsterr jumped into the air and landed on Bebes head and began slicing the deformed bear in the face with his Plasma Sword.

"THIS IS FOR NEARLY BREAKING MY LEGS YOU PUNK!" he yelled as he chopped off one of Bebes ears.

The bear let out a howl of pain as he tried to punch Jamezsterr, which he nimbly avoided, landing next to Escalade.

"Your turn buddy" he smiled.

"Ooooooooh I'm gonna enjoy this!" grinned Esaclade as he dashed towards Bebe.

Bebe was roared as he raised his fists, ready to crush Escalade…….if he could hit him……..which he didn't.

Escalade weaved his way behind Bebe and with a loud crack, his Storm Bat clocked him in the side of his head.

"Hahaha what a stupid…..WHOA!!!!" Escalade narrowly avoided getting smashed by one of Bebes paws. "Watch it!!!" he growled.

Just then Wolfyfang and Kiyamalt began shooting at Bebe, which simply annoyed the giant bear.

"Come and get us you big green freak of nature!" growled Wolfyfang

Bebe responded in kind and rushed towards them.

"Wait for it" whispered Kiyamalt "Wait for it…..wait"

Bebe was almost upon them, when suddenly.

"NOW!" yelled Kiyamalt as he and Wolfyfang rolled out of the way.

Before Bebe knew what had happened, a blue light shot him right between his eyes, sending crashing to the floor.

"Bullseye!" cheered VickiouzZz, rail gun smoking in one hand.

Bebe wasn't moving.

"Did we get him?" asked Wolfyfang nervously.

"LETS PLAY MORE" roared the deranged bear, his eyes now glowing bright red.

"I'll take that as a no shall I?" sighed Wolfyfang.

"Oh you want some more huh? COME GET SOME!" cheered Ichigomayuri, his Plasma Sword raised above his head as he rushed towards Bebe, everyone close behind him.

High up in the air, my battle with Alice raged on.

We were moving so quick, each time we came into contact, it created a sonic boom.

Suddenly, we both locked together, my gauntlet grasping the blade of Alice's Katana, while she held my other arm that was holding my sword.

We eyed each other fiercely, straining to keep each other from getting the advantage.

"Defeat is inevitable child" whispered Alice "Why don't you just stop this meaningless fight and just give up"

"Keep your opinions to yourself" I said defiantly "There's no way in hell I'm gonna give up, not now, NOT EVER!"

Alice just laughed "Pride will not help you now…….when I'm done with you…..I will erase your pathetic clan-mates……then I will…."

"SHUT THE HELL UP YOU EVIL LITTLE COW!" I roared "IF YOU SO MUCH AS TOUCH AT MY FRIENDS, I'LL TEAR YOUR FREAKING HEAD OFF, DO YOU HEAR ME!?"

My gauntlet clenched, followed by the sound of metal shattering.

Alice looked at me in shock, her Katana was broken in pieces, and parts of the blade were still in my gauntlets hand, which was now drawn back behind me.

"GET BENT YOU BRAT" and with a loud boom, my fist smashed Alice straight in the face, sending her hurtling to the ground.

She slammed into the back of Bebe, who then fell forwards.

Escalades eyes went wide in shock as the bear came falling down on him.

"OH CRAP!!" he cried "SCATTER!"

Everyone dived out of the way as the giant bear landed face first on the floor with a loud crash.

Alice sat up, rubbing her cheeks as I landed on a nearby rock.

Her eyes went gore red, murder spread across her face……she was angry.

"HOW…..DARE YOU" she screamed "I'M GOING TO….!"

"Shut up" I snapped as I slapped her.

She fell on her back as she held her cheek, she looked at me in shock……..she was now crying.

Sereena appeared beside me.

"You have been bested virus…….accept your defeat and begone from this world."

Alice looked at me; tears streaming down her face…….she was beaten.

"Why must…..you Espers always….hurt me…." She sobbed "What did I do to deserve this?......"

I narrowed my eyes as I answered her "I did tell you, not all Espers are cruel people…..me and my friends are some of those few"

Sereena's form dissolved into a white liquid and wrapped around the blade of my Counter Sword as I raised it above my head.

"It never had to be this way Alice" I said sadly, despite all that has happened, I still felt sorry for her. "But I cannot allow you to hurt any others because of your petty hatred"

My eyes shone bright red.

"Goodbye"

In one quick swipe, my blade cut across her chest.

She clutched her chest and let out a cry of pain as a white light began to envelop her whole body.

The light shone brighter and brighter until it was so bright I couldn't look at it anymore, eventually there was a huge shockwave that forced me to my knees.

Eventually the light died away, and all was quiet.

Nervously, I turned around……..nothing……..she was gone…..I could no longer sense Alice, Bebe or Sereena's presence.

All that was left in her place was a black rose. It was part of Alice's headdress, I picked it up and stroked the petals……..I swear I could still her Alice's voice as I held it.

"…..It…..was fun……while it lasted…….my pet……"

Those words felt strangely……..sad…….yet warm…….seems like she was gone…..for good this time…….

"……..god……I'm glad that's over……"

Suddenly, I felt someone's hand on my shoulder, I turned around……it was Jamezsterr……..he was smiling.
"Awesome job Karin" he chuckled

I smiled back at him, then I felt someone slap me behind my head, it was Escalade.

"You had me worried little buddy" he laughed "I never seen you that serious before"

"Neither have I" as I chuckled "I didn't like it at all…….I'm tired….."

Wolfyfang came up and hugged me in delight "I'm so proud of you Master, welcome back"

Ichigomayuri held my hand ashe spoke "You always surprise me bud, well done indeed.

I hugged him back as VickiouzZz and Kiyamalt came along and joined us.

"Well…..what should we do now guys?" asked VickiouzZz

Kiyamalt looked at his watch and smiled.

"Well…..we still have half a day left, let's head home and get something to eat yeah?"

"I'll vouch for that" said Escalade

"Me too" chuckled Jamezsterr

"Me three" chirped Wolfyfang

"As my dad would say……IM ANK MARVING!.......lets go home guys" I laughed.

With that, we headed back for the Network Roads, making our way back home.

However, that thought was very short lived……

As soon as we entered the Network Roads………a whole platoon of Netsphere Police and GM's……their weapons were drawn.

Escalade and Jamezsterr stood in front of me……shielding me from any gunfire that might erupt.

"You guys just don't let up do you!" snapped Escalade

Just then, the GM commander that Escalade and Jamezsterr were talking to weeks ago, pushed past the crowd.

"What do you want now!" barked Jamezsterr.

The GM simply smiled.
